First EB4T webinar to discuss VHEEs’ role in advancing cancer treatment

The eBeam4Therapy consortium is pleased to announce its first-ever webinar – ‘Innovating Against Cancer: Advancing Cancer Treatment with Very High Energy Electrons’.

Taking place on 28th June from 5pm to 6pm CET, this online event will be focusing on the latest developments in laser-plasma generated Very High Energy Electron (VHEE) technology for cancer therapy.

Webinar Agenda

The webinar will be divided in two sections. First, an initial presentation addressed by Principal Investigator Prof. Dr. Victor Malka, Technology-to-Market Transition Manager Ms. Gabriella Mifsud, and Research Scientist & Project Manager Dr. Arnaud Courvoisier will offer attendees a comprehensive overview of the research conducted by the EB4T team thus far.

Victor, Gabriella, and Arnaud will proceed to offer key insights into the evolution of VHEEs in cancer therapy, highlight the methods utilised to generates VHEEs for radiation treatment, make a case for the laser plasma approach as the optimal solution for VHEE production, and explore the potential advantages of LPA-VHEE in cancer therapy.

The presentation will be followed by a 20-minute Q&A session in a bid to offer attendees the opportunity to interact with speakers, seek clarification about the topics discussed, and share their own thoughts on this subject matter.

Who Can Attend?

The webinar is open to radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radio biologists, dosimetrists, and related academic researchers that wish to stay at the forefront of cutting-edge treatment modalities.

Attendees will also get to learn about the different ways through which they can collaborate with EB4T as well as participate in the sharing of clinical and market feedback to aid the project’s further advancement.
